Impact XM was set to unveil our refreshed brand at ExhibitorLIVE!, a tentpole event in the world of exhibit design. Surrounded by competition, Impact XM wanted to share our philosophy of X well-crafted culture, work, insights, and solutions with attendees in a memorable and innovative way.
Innovative and personalized experience
While a compelling combination of architectural and graphic design drew audiences into the space, the anchor of the experience was our digital storytelling engagement. Knowing that personalization is paramount to event attendees, Impact XM created and developed a custom-coded image recognition app that uses a smartphone’s camera in combination with visual search technology to identify images, text, and objects.
Deploying this technology created a BYOD experience for every attendee that entered our space. As guests explored the space, they engaged with various content triggers that would send more detailed information directly to their phone. From case studies to agency videos to industry insights, each piece of content told another chapter of the company’s story.
Always delivering “the next” to its clients, Impact XM has seen exponential growth in opportunities for clients to utilize this technology in their exhibits and events. In the booth and on the client’s list of “next,” the image scanning technology was a hit. On average attendees scanned 10 pieces of content throughout the booth. Analytics tracked what content each user scanned allowing us to create a personalized follow up. Each participant received a post-event email providing a summary of all the images and objects they scanned with links to online resources and content.
