Creating a national sales conference with a focus on sustainability.


Throughout our long-standing relationship with BASF, we have created an incredible array of well-crafted experiences that have engaged their audience and helped solidify the BASF brand.

For this project, Impact XM had to design an event space that incorporated interesting and unique ways to integrate breakout sessions in the plenary for BASF’s annual sales conference.


Sustainability is a core value for BASF, so when designing the plenary for their national sales conference, we approached our solution with this core value in mind.

We introduced inflatable pods, which created bold, elegant, and impactful collaborative spaces that surrounded the general session of the theater style seating for 500 people. Each of these 28-foot diameter inflatable pods had an entrance facing the plenary, with graphics on the exterior, and were beautifully lit using LED lighting in BASF’s six brand colors. The interiors of the pods included comfortable seating with a/v presentations.

This design of the inflatable pods and their position within the plenary allowed the BASF executive to open the breakout sessions in dramatic fashion. The pods also allowed for a cost-effective solution that created unique collaboration spaces while reducing weight, shipping cost, and labor to execute. All the while creating stunning architectural shapes in the plenary and truly bringing the BASF brand to life!
