In an article recently published to USA Today, Coral Murphy explored what might become of virtual events once lockdowns are lifted and life returns to a new “normal”. Impact XM’s own John Capano, Senior Vice President of Client Development, offered his two cents on the future of virtual and hybrid events and why he does not see them going anywhere any time soon. With the sudden adoption of virtual for most events, brands are seeing that these types events are not only possible but can be beneficial. Hybrid and virtual events and experiences offer companies many opportunities to continue connecting and networking with their target audiences.
Excerpt: Marketing agencies such as Impact XM are already developing strategies for companies planning to host large conferences in the third and fourth quarter of the year. “Between now and two years from now, we think there will be some bridge strategies,” John Capano, senior vice president of client development at Impact XM told USA TODAY. These hybrid events would host its main event in one location, but have satellite events in other locations to avoid having thousands of people conglomerate in one space at a time. As people gather for in-person events, Capano explained that companies should also focus on providing a virtual event hub for virtual attendees.
